Simple Operation
In a fire, seconds count. Everything that's needed to properly operate SimplexGrinnell extinguishers is clearly written and illustrated on the front panel. Simply remove the pin, aim the nozzle at the base of the flames, and squeeze the handle. It's fast, easy, and effective.

Easy Inspection
For checking a unit's pressure, SimplexGrinnell extinguishers feature a large gauge on the front. When the needle is in the green zone, the unit is charged and ready for use. If the needle is in the red zone, the unit should be checked by an authorized distributor. There's even a visual seal to check for possible tampering.

Selecting the right extinguishing agent

  • Water - the most common and readily available fire extinguishing agent, effective on Class A (wood, paper, cloth) fires
  • Carbon Dioxide - a colorless, odorless, electrically non-conductive gaseous "clean" agent that is effective on Class B (flammable liquids and gases) and Class C (electrical) fires
  • FORAY - a monoammonium phosphate-based agent for use on Class A (wood, paper, cloth), Class B (flammable liquids and gases) and Class C (electrical) fires
  • Purple-K - a potassium bicarbonate-based agent that is the most effective Ansul agent for use on Class B (flammable liquids and gases) and Class C (electrical) fires
  • PLUS-FIFTY C - a sodium bicarbonate-based agent that is free-flowing, water-repellent, and electrically non-conductive, for use on Class B (flammable liquids and gases) and Class C (electrical) fires
