The Simplex 4020 addressable analog system stands out because of its ability to identify the precise
location of a fire or alarm condition. The 4020 is capable of supporting up to 500 addressable points
utilizing Simplex's advanced TrueAlarm® addressable analog smoke sensing technology, which provides
outstanding early warning detection. With TrueAlarm detection, the 4020 system is able to detect
hostile smoke in its incipient stage, considerably faster than is possible with conventional smoke
detectors. The 4020 panel can function as a stand-alone system or as a modular unit linked in a
network. Simplex 4020 systems also provide drift compensation (which enables detectors to maintain
their original sensitivity over time despite the accumulation of dirt in the chamber); peak value
logging (a unique SimplexGrinnell feature that minimizes nuisance alarms by enabling customers to set the
sensitivity to coincide with the fire risk); and automatic smoke detector cleaning warnings (which
enables the control panel to identify individual sensors that need to be cleaned.). The 4020 fire
alarm panel is UL and ULC Listed, FM, CSFM and MEA Approved.
