With its leading-edge 4120 Network, SimplexGrinnell has brought networked fire detection and alarm systems
to a new level. The 4120 Network uses the advanced Simplex TrueAlarm® analog detection system to
provide outstanding early warning detection. Highly flexible and extremely user-friendly, the 4120
Network is designed to function as a system of individual, intelligent fire alarm control panels.
Each panel can communicate its status with other panels by sharing point data via a "token ring"
network. Capable of supporting more than 50,000 points, the 4120 Network has exceptional ability to
grow and meet changing facility needs. Another major advantage of the 4120 Network is the high level
of survivability it provides for fire detection, alarm and control functions during any emergency. If
a fault occurs anywhere in the system causing one or more nodes to go down vital communications
still continue between operating panels. With the 4120 Network, SimplexGrinnell offers a Microsoft Windows-based
Graphic Command Center (GCC) that provides full access to network information and an easy-to-understand
user interface for performing network monitoring and control. The 4120 series network control panels
are UL and ULC Listed, FM, CSFM and MEA Approved, and comply with EN 54, the new European functional
fire detection standard.
