Default Configuration Worksheet
The default configuration worksheet is a simple spreadsheet identifying the fire panel point
and its related BACnet object number. The gray area of the worksheet refers to pseudo point
locations which have been pre-programmed into the portal. The Building Management Network
administrator will need to set the Portal Device network address and know the BACnet Instance
numbers related to the fire panel points in order to program the application at the workstation
or HVAC controller.
The Default Portal configuration program has mapped 600 Binary Input Objects; 200 in pseudo
slot address 130, and 200 in pseudo slot 131 and 200 in pseudo slot 132. Any fire panel point
status change can be linked to any pseudo point. The Portal default configuration recognizes
these pseudo points and converts them to BACnet Input Objects and unique Instance number. The
workstation or controller application labels, if known, are entered in the BACnet Description
Column.
The following example shows how Mapnet addressable smoke sensors alarm and trouble states are
mapped to pseudo points. The portal is pre-programmed so no other programming by Simplex is
needed.
