Locating personnel, patients and valuable equipment is straightforward and easy at facilities that have implemented the Zettler VERSUS™ Information System (VIS). It uses infrared and radio frequency signal reception to pinpoint the exact location of individuals wearing VERSUS badges and assets to which VERSUS tags have been affixed. Result? Frustrating "phone tag" and time lost locating equipment are greatly reduced, while staff efficiency climbs.
Various nurse call systems offered by SimplexGrinnell and featured in this section of our website can interface with VIS location technology.
The system displays real-time staff and equipment locations at the main nurse station and PCs positioned throughout the facility. Monitors offer a choice of formats that are continuously updated:
List View
Alphabetically lists people and equipment, their current location and nearest phone extension for immediate call routing
Floor Plan View
A real-time map of people and equipment identified with color icons
For mobile patient security, special Personnel Alert badges include a button that notifies a caregiver of the individual's identity and location. The alert creates a "pop-up" message on a terminal, and/or rings a pager or cell phone, enabling staff to respond quickly.
An optional software module generates alarms signaling that a user-defined location parameter has been exceeded. Applications include wandering patients, equipment tracking, security and staff presence.
The optional PhoneVision™ feature allows users to dial into the VERSUS system from within or outside the facility. Upon entering a person's badge ID, the caller can ring the nearest extension or enter that person's voice mail.
