EZ Care is a scalable Nurse Call System that has the feature set,
flexibility, architecture, and price point to be used in any area
of a skilled nursing care facility. It is based on the latest
technology and is easily expandable to accommodate the integration
of new technologies and interfaces to other systems.
The "first installment" of the EZ Care System, which is
described in the following sections, is a tone-visual system targeted
specifically at health care markets, such as Emergency Departments,
ICUs, and nursing homes that do not require voice communications in
their nurse call system. EZ Care is based on a flexible and expandable
network architecture that will be the platform upon which new releases
of the system will be based.
Future capabilities scheduled for release will add voice communication,
event reporting, IR location, PC-based Nurse Master Station, and
wireless telephone integration. After the basic EZ Care network
structure is installed, new features and devices may be added as
they are needed.
