SimplexGrinnell Adds Zettler™ and EZ Care™ Healthcare Communications Systems to GSA Agreement for Nurse Call/Patient Response Products
WESTMINSTER, Massachusetts (Feb. 11, 2004) - SimplexGrinnell, an industry leader in healthcare communications and a business unit of Tyco Fire & Security, today announces additions of Zettler and EZ Care nurse call platforms and products to SimplexGrinnell's Nurse Call/Patient Response GSA Agreement (GS-27F-0026M).
Zettler and EZ Care join three flagship products previously available through SimplexGrinnell's GSA Agreement - the Executone™ Healthcare Communications Platform with wireless systems integration; CARE/COM II-E Patient Communications System; and the LifeSaver™ System intelligent nurse call solution.

Patient-care facilities can install the Zettler Sentinel Touch® nurse call solution on a stand-alone basis for a single unit, or in a network configuration with unlimited expansion capability. Its open architecture and standard interfaces allows the Sentinel Touch to be integrated with the unit's management systems, including HIS/ADT and MIS/Administration. The Sentinel Touch also integrates with auxiliary communication systems including patient monitoring and security systems.
The EZ Care Intelligent Communications Platform combines 50 years of Executone dependability with the innovation of advanced Zettler technology. The system represents decades of industry leadership, culminating in this next generation system that instantly routes calls for assistance wirelessly to the designated caregivers, wherever they may be. Through the system, caregivers can provide a coordinated response. The result is better patient-staff relationship and improved teamwork throughout the clinic, hospital, etc.
In addition to the GSA Agreement for Nurse Call/Patient Response Products, SimplexGrinnell holds three other GSA agreements including Fire Detection and Alarm Products (GS-07F-0396M), Fire Alarm and Suppression Services (GS-06F-0054N), and Time Solutions Products (GS-25F-0165M).
