| SimplexGrinnell to Visit 33 Cities During 2005 Fire and Life-Safety Road Show Series
Educational Forums Address Latest Codes, Trends and Technologies in Fire Protection

Boca Raton, Fla. (March 17, 2005) - SimplexGrinnell, a business unit of Tyco Fire & Security and a leader in fire and life-safety systems and services, will bring its popular Fire and Life-Safety Road Show Series to 33 cities across the United States and Canada during 2005, reaching out to thousands of industry professionals to share the latest developments in fire and life safety.
The first event in the 2005 series is scheduled for March 29 in Jacksonville, Fla.
What's New. What's Next. What's Vital. is the theme of the 2005 SimplexGrinnell Road Show Series. This marks the third consecutive year that SimplexGrinnell has organized a series of symposiums and technology expos for engineers, architects, building owners, facility managers, contractors, local fire officials and others interested in code updates, technology advances and practical applications in fire and life safety. The SimplexGrinnell 2004 Road Show Series visited 21 cities and attracted over 4,000 attendees.

Five Shows Feature Live Fire Systems Equipment
The 2005 SimplexGrinnell Road Show Series will include 28 one-day Fire and Life-Safety Symposiums and five two-day Fire and Life-Safety Technology Expos that feature live demonstrations of fire equipment, including Simplex®-branded fire systems. Topics in this year's series include:
- Latest developments in fire sprinklers and special hazards protection
- Advances in emergency notification, including intelligibility measurement
- Fire protection product and service applications, migrations and upgrades
- Fire protection in healthcare environments and high-rise structures

May: Sacramento, Calif.; Denver, Colo.; Norfolk and Richmond, Va.; Charlotte, N.C.; Calgary, Alberta, May 2; Winnipeg, Manitoba, May 5; Montreal, Quebec, May 16-17; Ottawa, Ontario, May 19.
June: Kansas City, Mo.; Des Moines, Iowa; Oklahoma City, Okla.; St. John's, Newfoundland, June 24.
July: Cleveland, Ohio (two-day event); Chicago, Ill.
September: Boston (two-day event); and a location yet to be named, Mass.; Milford, Conn.
