Simplex iSecure Pro Security Management System
|
The Simplex iSecure Pro is a comprehensive security management system that is designed for the TCP/IP network environment.
iSecure Pro server communicates with the iSecure Controller (ISC) to monitor and control system devices. The ISC sends status information to the iSecure Server. The server acts upon the information based on the way it is configured. It records the information in its database and distributes events and alarms to the iSecure Workstations.

The controller network can be Ethernet TCP/IP, dial-up TCP/IP, 4120 token ring or any combination of the three. The type of network selected for a particular controller depends upon customer requirements, distance limitations, and existing network infrastructure.
iSecure operates in a Microsoft Windows™ Domain environment. The server utilizes Windows
2000 Server and the workstations run Windows 2000 Professional. iSecure uses SQL Server 7,
Microsoft's enterprise client/server databases solution. It is designed to operate efficiently and effectively in both local and wide area networks.
The iSecure Server can be configured as a domain controller or member server. Workstations can be members of the server's domain or may be members of other domains as long as the
appropriate trust relationships are created. If the iSecure Server is a member server, it can be a member of a Windows 2000 domain or a Windows NT domain. iSecure has no requirement for Active Directory. It simply utilizes the domain account mechanism of the domain server.
TCP/IP addresses can be assigned dynamically on iSecure Workstations; however, the server
requires a static address if the system utilizes Ethernet or dial-up ISCs. The ISCs identify the
iSecure Server by address; therefore, the server's TCP/IP address cannot change without also
changing the host address at each ISC.
