Fire hose is a critical life piece of life-safety equipment.But it must be kept in proper condition.
According to NFPA, state and local codes, in-service hose is to be taken from its rack, unrolled and physically inspected at least once a year.
Hose is also to be rolled and replaced on the rack in such a manner that the folds do not occur at their former positions.
